They're okay... maybe a Campagnolo knock off Group4 wheel would be the way to go. That British company that said they'd deliver them in 16 and 17 inch sized and never came though. There's never been more interest in a wheel here than those.

The Campagnolo is a very cool wheel, especially in bronze on pre 74 cars, but those 917 wheels would look bad ass on just about any flared car from mid year up to present.

Would be a lot cheaper to find a set of the Ronals. The only difference is the lug hole placement. Funny how No one seemed to have interest in those style wheels until they got a MW stamp on them.

The wheels in the OP look great. I wonder if the 17s will clear a big brake kit. Those would be so badass with a centerlock hub.

As much as I like Magnus, I didn't know he made those 917 wheels. Nonetheless they're great looking!
The Ronald are pretty bad ass as well! It's so hard to find good looking wheels for the 911. Nothing looks 'right' on a street car unless it's a Fuchs or other very select 5 spoke wheels.

IMHO, I don't think they look anything like Ronal wheels. Granted, apart from the colour that's easy to change, the spoke angle inwards with the Outlaws and the centre is also flush whereas the Ronals are raised. The rim profile is significantly different also, the Outlaw rim is much thicker whilst the spoke radius is smaller, a trait of the originals. I've never seen the Campagnolos does anyone have a picture?

IIRC the D-Zug boys over on the turbo forum made re-creations of this 5-spoke design a few years ago. (Maybe because we turbo guys all dream of our 930s growing up to be fire-spitting 935s.) They got either Fikse or Forgeline to make the centers. Aesthetics were based off a real centerlock 5-spoke 935 wheel. But I think the price was pretty hefty back then, like these current ones seem to be.

In our defense, a 17x9 actually starts at under $900, and also, they are 100% fully forged and custom wheels...

They looked pretty good until I noticed the raised inner lip... now they seem weird to me.
