Can a fellow Pelican post bearing shells to UK?
Hi
Long story short, I bought a 1976 911S from this site last year and am part way through a rebuild. I would like to order bearing shells from P.P and send them directly to HM Elliott for a HM30 coating to close up the tolerences. The issue is they don't post to the UK. Would anyone here be able to post them to me if I arrange with HM to post them within the USA? I am bit stuck because without the extra thou of coating I am running close to the lower limit and can't afford a crank regrind at the moment! Cheers Jack |

I wouldn’t count on bearing coating to make up for sloppy bearings.

Thanks I think I am sorted now.
I can get the bearings in the UK but want to try the HM Elliott coating hence easier / cheaper to buy in the USA and send directly to them. The car was running ok oil pressure etc before the piston went (silicon sealant blocked oil jets) so I am reasonably happy to chuck the crank back in with new shells. It might work, it might not but it is a punt I am willing to take. Thanks. |
