Where can I find this window frame nut insert

Anyone have a part number or know where I might find the missing nutsert in my coupe window frame. I've done a bunch of searching McMaster and Bel Metric but not finding anything that looks like it will fit. Finding lots of rivnuts, but they are all too tall.

Thanks for any help.
Bill

Have you tried here or a Porsche dealer ? If that doesn’t pan out couldn’t you shorten a aftermarket fastener from Bel Metric ? Perhaps put it in a vice and lop it off with a angle grinder.

Nutserts?? There’s a threaded plate inside the door, the frames are bolted to that with a metric Allen head bolt.

@Dpmulvan - On my car ('69) there are no threaded plates. The frames are attached to the door with 8mm metric Allen head bolts that thread into those inserts pressed into the window frames. I've never seen a car with threaded plates inside the door, maybe SWB cars?

@pkabush - the problem is I have no part number to search for, PET doesn't call out anything below the window frame as a separate part.

Did you look inside the door?

Good suggestion John, unfortunately the doors are long gone.

I did get an offer via PM from someone who had one removed from a bent frame, so I might be good.
Thanks Pelican!

If that doesn't work out, try giving Shaun at Tru6 a holler. He's got all sorts of fastener odds and ends.

Bill, if your other source doesn't work out, send me an email with your address and I'll get one off to you.

Thanks Shaun and all who offered help. Steve (@SWS911) is sending me one which should work fine. Really appreciate it, love this forum!

Steve is a super nice guy, not surprised he's helping. When I reinstall them after anodizing I use a short M8 bolt and thick washer with a little silicone on the thread and draw them in with a small cordless impact gun.

Make sure the bolt will thread easily all the way first.

How do you prevent the reinstalled clinch nut doesn't turn?
