If I can make it a business trip, I might show. Doubt I''l bring one the 911's. Sorry, but Indy doesn't really excite me as a location. Though Monument Circle is actually pretty cool.

So they completely scrapped Durham, North Carolina after saying it was delayed?

A curious choice of location...

Between the Speedway and the Circle, Indy knows how to host an automotive event. The weakness of this location of course is the lack of really good roads for incoming travelers.

As an longtime Indy fan, I have no doubt it will be a good event, but would rather have seen this happen in the Smokies...

I personally despise Indy, having lived here (or in the area) for 15 years.
It's a good convention city.
A nice place to visit, not so much a nice place to live.

The roads leave something to be desired for sure. But let's not forget how well Indy handled the Super Bowl a few years ago. The city can throw a party.

(I'm also partial to the Smokies over most locations.)

Bought my car up there. Seems like a pleasant place, just another large city.
Not interested in attending a gathering there. Been to Indy. I'll continue fulfilling
my bucket list drive locations. Like the PCH.

They absolutely killed it with MotoGP for 8 straight years. It was one of the highest rated fan GP’s even though the circuit itself is rated so low by the riders. (Track only, not facility or hospitality)

We get down there 2-3 times per year on bikes or in Pcars...worth the drive.

It did look like a great venue. Indy seems big and impersonal. I would really like to see the artwork and plan layout / design they did for Durham. Hey maybe they'll do 2022 there, or split into two, one East and one West.

Show is Friday, and the Carrera Cup and an "unannounced" Porsche Festival will be at the Speedway that weekend. Would have love for it to be in Durham (have a feeling we'll get that shot again in the future) but look forward to Luft being mixed with some on-track action that weekend. With Penske owning the speedway now, and their recent tie-up with Porsche again for the LMdH program, maybe some surprises in store ?
