I have a 1970 911T, and I just removed my damaged stock airbox and replaced it with PMO/K&N hats.
There are four hoses that connect to nothing, and I want to make sure I have them routed right... 1) Big breather hose from the oil tank I'll route to the air cleaners. 2) Two fuel evaporator hoses...I'll route one to the air cleaners and one to the fan shroud. Does it matter which one is which, and if so, how do I figure that out? I'm hoping this will get rid of the pronounced fuel smell I get every time I fill up...At the moment, they're so brittle they snap off, so I gotta run some adapters and what not... 3) What is that last black hose and what should it connect to? I'm not sure I have "room" to route it to the air cleaners... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

PMO has a plastic connector for the loose hoses. Call them.

Welp, my charcoal canister is gone, so I guess I have bigger fish to fry. Why would someone remove this? Is it a pain in some way I can't understand?
Is there a simpler way to handle gas fumes if I don't care about originality? One day I'll figure out what that black hose is that goes into the bulkhead... |

The hose at the back of the bulkhead looks like it was connected to the bottom of a cis airbox...
