Suspension opinions for early car

I'm going to replace all of the bushings (recently purchased through our host) on our 73E and I wanted to solicit opinions about upgrading the suspension. Currently, the suspension is stock, with factory 15mm front and rear sway bars, and I believe it has Bilstein struts / shocks which I think I may need to get revalved / replaced. 6/7x15 wheels with 195/65 and 215/60 Yoko A-0032P tires. I have a pair of adjustable spring plates to install when I replace the bushings, and I also have a pair of used 26mm rear torsion bars sitting on my workbench.

Our 73E is driven primarily in the suburbs and out in the country, with a few DE's planned per year.

So, finally to the point...am I OK going with stock front t-bars / 26mm rears, or should I (a) stay with stock front / rear t-bars, (b) put in 21mm fronts / 26mm rears, or (c) put in some other configuration? I want the car to feel well balanced and predictable. I don't want to make the ride too harsh. Any other suggestions for comments?

Thanks for your help.

Larger torsion bars don't really degrade the ride as much as some people think. I'd go with either stock frt/26mm rear or 21/26mm and stick with whatever else you have for now (shocks good?). I'd also lower the car and have it corner balanced and aligned. You'll have a very nice handling ride at that point. At a later date, you can upgrade the sway bars for a little more suspension control.

Thanks Paul. I'm going to go with stock front / 26mm rear. I'm either going to get the struts / shocks revalved (I think they're Bilsteins) or replaced. I'm really looking forward to the results.

Jim, I've always been of the opinion that you can't overspring threar of the 911 with t-bars (witness my 69S with 31mm rears) so FWIW I think you're going the right way. BTW I hope to see your car, maybe on a fun run and perhaps we could compare notes. Good luck with the upgrade...
