cis aux air valve????

I have a 2.7 from a 76 911 I'm fitting in my 914. I'm curious if I can remove the aux air valve/air regulator ?? If so will there be any effects?? Or should I try and include this and reroute the lines?? Thanks, joe b

If you are gonna run with the CIS system than you need to retain the air valve. If you gonna run with carbs such as webers you can ditch the air valve.

I'm like to keep the CIS for now. I think I can move the regulator to make room. I've see earlier versions of this fuel injection without the aux air valve and wondered if I could lose it. Thanks, joe

Cool AAV

The auxilary air valve (AAV) is used as a "choke" device on the CIS systems. If you have some sort of manual choke device such as a pull cable or fast run lever, I believe you could do without the AAV. There is also a device called the Auxilary Air Regulator or AAR which you would probably need to keep.

Good Luck!

Ok I have been through exactly what you are going through. I tried to run CIS But after several modification to it I canned the project. It all depends on if you are willing to modify the 914 chassis. I vote webers or zeniths. I chose zeniths much cheaper and have some advatages but some draw backs. But hey we are on the 911 bbs. Just my input.
