THAT is a JPI multi-channel engine monitor. It has the ability to simultaneously monitor CHT and EGT, record the peak levels, find the lean cylinder, and record the data to a memory chip for further analysis.
They are common among high-horsepower aircraft installations where leaning is a manual process and where the motor is equipped with cowl flaps, requiring you to keep an eye on the CHTs lest they hit 500, causing the big fan in the front to turn off. And as single-engine aviators know, the big fan in the front keeps the pilot cool: if you don't believe me, shut it off and watch how the pilot sweats. Those things are also over $1000 without including the probes. I was going to put one in my Citabria, until I realized that it was. . . well. . .a Citabria. . . if you had an all-out race motor and were doing endurance racing I wouldn't hesitate, however. |

it's the epistemology of 911 entertainment.. there was just a few guys thinking about CHT last week.. everyone had something to offer.............Ron http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=89442&perpage=20&pagenu mber=1 |
This looks like a neat, clean installation with no modifications to the dash. Voltmeter panel
Good luck. |
47g? I read something that said the 47's gearbox was unique in that during autorotation something didn't freewheel? I don't remember what though, certainly not the main rotor, but something else didn't disconnect from the dead engine?

I ordered the console insert from www.9xauto.com without the handles, light or switch. I have yet to install it, but it test fit perfectly and the material is a perfect match for the 911 interior. I think it is definitely the cleanest look for a single additional gauge.

Hello
GO inside of your center console with temperature gauge... it is a nice place and it is ring down your eyes to check some time...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads/interieur1.jpg |
Mine's a similar console install. I have a voltmeter and a tranny temp gauge.

I autorotated the ship (with a dead engine) about 9 years ago. The crankshaft let go! I'm here to tell the tale! It's a great aircraft. Scott |

Nice to see you made it. Tom |
I placed it here (console style, but without the look) and avoided any alterations to the car. This fits my own personal preferences, and is a clean look in this car.
