Front and Rear Torsion Bars - Aftermarket Zerks/Identifying Bushings?

My car came with little documentation when I purchased it.

I'm chasing down an annoying rear squeak (which I believe is the shock, not the torsion bar bushing) and noted my torsion bar covers have zerks as do the front control arms.

I've noticed the Elephant Racing polybronze bushings come with these. Is there any way to easily determine what kind of bushings these are? By process of elimination, are they the only torsion bar bushings that would have zerks on them?

I just messaged the person who sold it to me and it does, in fact, have poly bushings. Sorry, this thread has no value.

I'm chasing a squeak in the right rear so I'm going to hit them with some grease.

I have never owned them myself but have heard others say that the squeaks are common on those and that greasing them is only a temp fix. YMMV.

Hah, a search here yielded a similar conclusion. I greased them this morning, both times the grease fitting got stuck on the nipple, and had to disassemble the whole grease gun to relieve the pressure to get them off.

I took it for a spirited spin this afternoon and they still squeak. The good news is I can't hear the squeaking when the M&K exhaust howls above 4000 RPMs so my temporary fix is to keep it revving.

Such is life.

If its the rear torsion bar bushings that squeaks its probably because you can only grease the outer bushing and not the inner. On the Elephant Poly Bronze you can grease both.

To grease the elephant racing poly bushings I have found that loosening the 4 bolts that hold the plate to the chassis makes it easier to get a grease gun on it. You don't have to pull them all the way off, just loosen the bolts and pry the plate back a bit. I grease mine about twice a year.
