PC680 stress test

My wife and I just went on a great drive through North San Diego's finest twisties and wound up at Nessy Burger.

Spent a good 30 minutes enjoying a great burger, then walked back to the car and my heart sank as I saw the dim running lights fading away. Fark, I left my lights on.

Fully expecting a flat battery, I gave it a try and the 3.2L started right up! Shocking😉. That little battery has been very impressive (yes, it will sleep tonight on a tender).

I used to run the PC680 for many years and experienced reasonable life out of them but Odyssey's price for them have really trended up over the years and if it goes dead you have to wait for a new one to be delivered vs popping into your local corner Auto store.

As a result I transitioned to the ETX18L which I can buy for a little over $100, available at any parts store and fits in the Rennline mount and is dimensionally the same as the PC680.

If you ever discharge it completely, be sure to only charge it with a smart charger.

If you charge it with a normal battery charger it will only get a surface charge, and will lose most of its capacity.
