Anybody used J-3 Restorations in Columbia, TN

I did a search, but couldn't find anything on them except for some VW work they have done. Their FB and IG accounts show a lot of work done to 911s and they seem to have the proper equipment and know-how. Just looking for someone who has had 1st hand experience with them. My crusty '74 is about stripped and will need media blasting, rust repair and primer. I'm in TN so they are relatively convenient too.

I don't know the J-3 shop, but Martin's Classic Cars is in Madison, AL (less than 2 hours from Columbia) and they can do anything. With all of his fabrication machines for making rocket parts and stuff, I bet he could laser an entire 911 out of a single block of aluminum. They do mechanical repairs, metal work, paint, etc.

I don't have direct experience, but I know my local wrench sends all the really tough repairs down to the guys at J-3.

The guys from American Pickers on the History Channel used them to restore a split window Beetle. Looked like pretty good work but that was on TV.

You could always call them at their shop: Antique Archaeology (Iowa and Nashville) and get their perspective.

J-3's facebook page has several postings with P Cars.

I just noticed you are in Knoxville. I used to get work from Air Cooled Classics. Not sure if Don is still in business though.

You could also try Eurotech or European Auto Garage.

I talked to them about 1.5 yr. ago and they told me they were backed up 3 years in the autobody side.

I called about some work and they wanted top $. Way out of my price range. Dude down in friends ville / Lenoir city has done a bit of work for me and does top shelf work at a fraction of the price. Pm for his contact info if interested.
