Porsche of St. Louis Name History

I am hoping one of the forum members knows the history of Porsche of St. Louis MO? I am trying to determine the original selling dealership of my 1987 911 to use on a reproduction window sticker. Porsche customer service has been no help. The car fax indicates that the car was first titled in St. Louis, MO so it was probably sold by the St. Louis Porsche dealership, but I am not certain in 1987 that the dealership name was "Porsche of St. Louis". If anyone knows and can remember the name of that Porsche dealership in 1987 or knows of a way to find out which dealership sold my car new I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!

In your Owners Manual you should have information on the Dealership that received and Delivered the car initially. It should have the specific Dealer #/name/location for specificity. I have seen this in both '86 911's I have owned. I hope someone smarter than me can weigh in also.

Thanks for the suggestion, but my car was missing it's original owners manual when I purchase it. One more thing I need to obtain for the car.

Porsche USA replied to my inquiry and informed me that my original selling dealer was Isringhausen Porsche in Springfield IL. About an 1 1/2 hours from St. Louis, MO.

That is really good to know. I will reach out to them and see what they have. You never know they may even come up with some service records. Thanks

The two longtime Porsche dealers in St. Louis prior to Porsche St. Louis were Plaza Motors and Parktown Porsche-Audi. Parktown was a much older dealer and the main salesman there was a guy named Mike Heyer (sp?) who was very active in the local PCA and Porsche community.

If the car lived in STL for a long time there’s a pretty good chance a local Porsche specialist shop called Reid Vann serviced it at some point.

Thanks so much for the additional contact information, I will see what else I can find out. The carfax is showing the car was titled on MO about 5 years. The history of these cars is one of the best parts of ownership.
