Can I do a macgyiver this?

I have this CTEK battery tender and I want to attach it battery terminals, but as it is it will not work. It needs the alligator clips as my other CTEK unit has. The first picture is what I have to work with and the bottom picture is the adapter I would have to purchase but I am hoping to just modify what I have.
I have a feeling not, because this CTEK unit is meant to plug into a cigarette light
But even if I wanted to use the eyelet cables I don't see how it would be connected to the CTEK-o-Mat.

Look at how the wires connect to the clamps. Some battery chargers, like the NoCo lineup shown below, are designed specifically to be unbolted for use in motorcycle/atv/etc applications. Your CTEK might be similar, allowing you to reuse your existing clamps.

That being said, if you just want to MacGyver it, you could use any old clamp. As long as there's a good connection between the battery terminal and the eyelets, the specifics aren't all that important. Grab your jumper cables and clamp it to the battery. Grab some binder clips and clip it to the battery. Grab a zip-tie and zip-tie it to the battery. Anything'll work - The clamps just make a secure connection easy.

Seems to me that this is what you need...and for the price $14 shipped, I would not hack up anything (unless you need it immediately): https://www.ebay.com/itm/361307187978?hash=item541f962b0a:g:g3kAAOSwmnFeTA5 F

If you need to do it now and have some small metal hose clamps, they could be used to temporarily attach those terminals to a battery...as could a couple pairs of vice grips, etc.

Okay, how would this end connect to the CTEK?

Maybe I misunderstand. Every CTEK unit I have/have seen has the plug that matches that.

So, I am going to have to get an adapter that connects to the cig. end of the CTEK to a adapter cable that has alligator clips.
A vendor on ebay says "Thanks for reaching out! Based on the item you say you have, there isn't an adapter that's compatible with what you're wanting to do."

If you are saying that you have the Porsche Charge-0-mat, without that connector (only a female lighter connector)...it seems that you would want to hook the terminal to your battery and use one of these:

"Site Cannot Be Reached"
How and where does the orange plug into and there is nothing to plug into? I think a cable that has a connector to the cig. end and the other end would be alligator clips.
Did you see the picture of my unit?

You could cut the plug off and add alligator clips.

Here's my other unit that I use for my Macan. So I shown two different CTEKs that just have the cig. end and no way to connect an alligator adapter.

Not sure or understand how to do that. Are you saying, purchase a cable with the alligator clips and cut off the other end and then cut off the cig.end off of the CTEK unit and just solder ends together?

I assumed you had the attachment to connect to the battery terminals like this photo.

There are lots of lighter to battery clamps adapters on EBAY of various quality and price (not CTEK branded) if you search for: cigarette lighter socket to clamps...starting at under $4. Here is one

hanks for the help.
Flintstone: I was curious how to use that cable with the eyelets but I went past that cable and decided to just buy a cable that connects up. Sorry for the confusion.
I think AutoZone will have that specific cable. Will run down there and check it out.

Adding this to your units would make then capable of using the rest of the CTEK accessories if that is what you wanted.

That is what I do, I can hook my (non Porsche CTEK) units to each of my cars and even my riding lawn mower. I don't ever need to get inside the car or leave a window open...so I can even do it outside with cars that will not fit in the garage.

Any/all of the CTEK (non Porsche) versions are very versatile).

Ok...sorry for the confusion. This is how they work with the eyelets (you get one short cable for for each car and leave that on the car). You just have to plug the unit in. I have extensions for mine as well...so I can mount the units farther away from the car if I choose.

You can make a cable that will suit your needs, as there is no electronic circuit inside the male cigarette lighter . It's just a way to get access to the positive and negative poles on the battery.
So go buy a cheap cigarette lighter replacement, that has both male and female. Then run wire from the positive and negative connections on the female of the kit , with big alligator clips on the end, one red one black.
Then, clip those clips to the positive and negative terminals on your battery, and then plug the charger's male cigarette lighter end into the female cigarette lighter at the end of your wires. You might want to wrap it in electrical tape to insulate it just in case.
And that should be all you'd need to do.

Or buy the cable you need. But a set of clips and a lighter would cost less than that cable shipped from amazon, I bet.

My unit does not have an orange port where you can connect. I have a CTEK that has that option of plugging in the alligator cable to a orange connector.
I have two units that don't allow that.
See my picture.
