3.6 Conversion Information???

I am considering putting a 1990 3.6 engine in a 76 911 Carrera. Can I get an estimate of hours to complete the conversion. I also wanted to know if there if a book or something that I could use for a reference in doing the conversion. I know some of you have done the conversions and I would like to know any tricks or anything to watch out for. Thanks for your time..any information is useful. :)

Harald has stated about 50 hours labor...no two conversions are the same so be flexible and prepared with all the parts needed before hand.
Be careful with the DME, make sure all connections are correct before any power is applied to the DME. Don't cut corners, go with the best parts available (Power Clutch, lightweight flywheel, Chip, etc)...you will be better off in the end. This is not a cheap project but costs change with the times and depending on what you can recoup from your old engine and parts. Do a search and you will find quite a few posts on this subject.
