Porsche Crest Any 962 pictures? Post them here!

Haven't seen many 962 pictures here at the Pelican BBS, so I thought I'd post some myself.

There is one for sale at $325.000 here (more pics too):
http://www.metroracingsystems.com/forsale.htm

3.0 liter flat six with 720HP to move 2200 lbs all the way up to 215 MPH.

Jerry woods told me once that it's about $10,000 an hour to operate one of those, with the cost of maintenance.

But they sure are sweet!

It's amazing when you think that two (modified) versions of these actually won the '94 le mans overall... and it's old enough to *not* use a cf tub.

Personally i think these things rule far more than the 917, it was never as absolutly crushing as the 956/962

Here's a 962 picture with a personal note....the guy sitting on it is my Dad. This car "lives" in Knoxville, TN and my Dad knows the owner....

Not a great picture of the car....

For my first post I found this old thread for which I have something to show you. I was at Spa this summer for a GrC/GTP race, there were very impressive 956/962 cars, especially the last 1993 Joest type, driven by A.Hsu, which dominated the races.

1st pic, my '82 factory LeMans victory poster signed by Derek.

2nd pic, my '82 Minichamps 1-2-3 finish set, #1 car signed by Derek.

3rd pic, my 962 windshield. SOMEBODY PLEASE Help me find out what team, driver, series, etc (I'm guessing IMSA GTP but that's all I know, I have had NO luck finding out any more)

I know many here get their panties in a twist over the mere mention of a 917, and they are amazing, no denying that. But the 956/962's took the brutal hammer that was the 917 and made it so much more dominant and for such a long time. Maybe the 956/962's did not have the look of pure evil the 917 has but they do look "right" in my mind.
