Anyone familiar with Daniel Schmitt & Co dealer in St Louis??
I have my eye on a 993 Cab there... wondering if anyone has any experience with them. The search continues...

Go to the Rennlist website and do a search. There is a thread where the dealer himself gets involved.

I have stopped by there to check out an 87 coupe for a fellow pelicanite.
Schmitt is about 2 miles from my office. I thought the car was overpriced given the overall condition, but I am very picky and it was listed at dealer prices. He normally has a good selection of 911's. I can go by and check out the 993 if you would like.

Richard, these guys are about as popular with the Rennlisters as Motormeister is with the Pelicanheads. Nice cars, but be careful.

Sorry Richard,
I don't know how to paste a link here but if you go to the Rennlist forum, go to the 993 forum. In the upper right corner will be a search button. After you hit that, type "Daniel Schmitt" and some threads will pop up. Click on the one titled "Daniel Schmitt Strikes Again". Good luck. Addison |

Quite a history with that dealership on Rennlist. Nonetheless, I'd get a PPI no matter who the dealer was...

I looked at a car there last year, nice but overpriced. Haven't heard anything else in the area about them though. FIG911 may weigh in, he lives nearby and I believe has looked there before.

The car is very nice (or so they say), and reasonably priced, but was purchased as a lease return at an auction. I'm learing that all the cars at dealers have dubious histories. I'm going to learn from this and stick to private parties.

Dianel Schmitt has a brother or sister dealership with Schmitt in the name too. I have seen it mentioned on the Ferrari boards, not often in good context.
