Killer deal?

My buddy just called, he has been offered a '90 C2 Cab, Black on black, 70k miles for $17,500. Assuming good condition is this not a steal?

Yes it's a steal. Does the engine go with it?

Wow, does it need the cylinder head upgrade done or something? Sounds like a great price if it's a solid car.

I'd be surprised if it needed the head gasket repair or the flywheel or the distributor. If it has 70K, all of these should have already been done if needed. Especially if the owner says it's in good shape and he is accurate. Good owners will not let these major repairs/upgrades go unattended.

Get a PPI. As a point of reference, I sold my 90 C2 Cab, blue/cashmere, 122K miles, all updates, in perfect mechanical condition for $19K in March.

Ok, here is the scoop. Car sold yesterday. It was a trade in deal where he took what they would give for trade. I was wrong on the price, it went for $16,500 not $17,500. The only thing that was said was that it had a couple of issues. Those issues could have been ugly, and maybe not we'll never know.

I think there's a white 964 Targa on eBay with a Buy It Now for $17k and change.
