Triumph ITB - Rainhats

Hi,

I have installed Clay's Triumph ITBs and I would like look at installing some rainhats.

I understand that he had put together some DIY plans for modifying some rainhats that will fit the Triumph ITBs. Does anyone have any information that can help me source or build some rainhats?

Alternatively is there a mesh cover that can fit over ITBs as opposed to the rainhats? Just looking for ideas/options.

Thanks

The slope is not slippery; in fact it is entirely frictionless.

Beware Hydrolock !!!

I'll never forget one of my early '66 911 autocrosses - new larger venturis for the single solex carbs, a bit of jetting change, air cleaners off, Bursch two into one stinger...Three wheeling it, screaming around the turns.

After the auto x, put blast pack back on the bursch and adjourned to the pizza parlor for a bench racing recap of the day and a few beers with the Pizza.

Went home, parked on the street, a happy guy - i beat the Jags and almost beat the ASShat driving a sunbeam tiger.

Unfortunately, i had forgotten to reinstall the air cleaners before it rained and the following morning, I jumped in the car to go to school and the starter wouldn't do it, grunt...It finally dawned on me that i had allowed the rain to hydrolock the engine.

Pulled the plugs, bumped the water out, reinstalled plugs and VROOOOOM I lucked out - didn' bend a rod.

So, i am wondering how the guys with the ITG foam air cleaners get around this issue???
Wish them luck
chris
