3.6 mods...what to do?

I have a good running 3.6. Has the typical nose bearing leak. Otherwise no complaints.

I would like to go to ITBs and bump displacement and maintain decent MPG but don't want to reinvent the wheel.

I have a 915 with WEVO upgrades after I destroyed second and third gear 10 years ago.

While money is a concern, I'm not adverse to spending it.

Is 3.8 my max w/o splitting the case? Are the PMO throttle bodies the schizzle?

The best butterfly-style ITBs are the AT Power ITBs. I was able to get 369 HP and 290 Ft-lbs torque, both at the wheel through a 915, with their 45mm ITB on my 3.6L race engine. They also make a 48mm ITBs which are probably not needed on a 3.8L street build.

Can 3.8 barrels and pistons slip on a 3.6 w/o machining?

I am pretty sure the answer is yes....with the right barrels.....

You can get 102mm P&C's from LN that are slip fit on a 3.6. PMO ITBs are no longer available, but the AT Power are beautiful and, of course there are many others to choose from....typically a price/performance trade-off.
