RSR oil pressure relief valve

Hello,

Could anyone tell me at what pressure the later, non-adjustable valve should open? I originally thought that it was around 5 bar, but someone is telling me between 10-12 bar. This seems extremely high to me, but I'm certainly no expert. Thanks.

I thought that I'd also post a couple of pictures from Armando's site of the valve I'm talking about. The p/n is 901.107.017.00.

Can you hook up a regulated compressed air to the bottom and see what pressure it opens starting at 1 bar and 1 bar increments? Compressed air is usually available at 8 bars.

Unfortunately I do not have an original valve to test myself.

I've come across these two Behr oil coolers on Armando's site. The first is a 1970 914/6 GT and the second is a 1973 RSR. Both are only rated at 10 bar, so I have to think that the pressure relief valves should pop-off below 10 bar, not above. At least for this period. I haven't been able to confirm what the pressure rating was on the 1974 RSR oil coolers which had an in-built pressure relief valve.
