Where did you mount your tweeters

I'm installing a component speaker system in my doors. Where are you guys mounting your tweeter? Because I have manual windows I'm considering mounting them where the window switches would have been but I don't want to interfere with the door trim.

Thanks

David

on my '86, the door cards already had cutouts for the tweeters, so I used those -- you might want to start by checking your door cards for the same

I have RS door trim panels so there are no speaker cut outs.

Back in '77, I used 1" dome tweeters and countersank them in the door top bolsters, angled slightly to the rear. Never have seen anyone else do that. And now, the door top trim has gotten ridiculously expensive, so I don't expect anyone would consider it.

On an old system, I purchased surface mount tweeters and put them on the dash at the corner of the windshield...got great separation as the glass bounced the sound back toward me. Best thing is that there were no permanent holes and when I went a different direction it was like it never happened.

Something like this. I didn’t even use any adhesive and they never moved even at auto cross events.
