Anyone with a Wevo shifter.....

want a free home made wooden knob for it?

I've been experimenting with a bit of Ball Turning and made a few that didn't make the grade.
So these two are up for grabs for free if anyone has a Wevo and can make them a bit prettier. They are unfinished and need a tidy up.

One is Australian River Red Gum which is two pieces glued together although it's a bit hard to see in the pic.

The other is Australian River Red Gum top and bottom with brass shim and wine stained oak in-between.
They both are threaded for the Wevo stick at M14 x 1.5.

If anyone wants one, just say so. As a Christmas gesture of Porsche good will I'll cover the postage cost.

Nice here is the one I made for my G50 Wevo. My first is sitting on my desk.

I am not sure what you are asking. The finished knob is sitting a top my G50 Wevo Shifter. The bare wood was rubbed with finishing oil. The insert for the wood knob is a matching threaded nut that matches the Wevo shifter thread. I can not remember what "M" pitch it is at the moment. Oh and after I made up the glued together block that became the knob I put it on a lathe.

Cold Metal Shift Knob

I have a Wevo shifter in my 911 and I can hardly bring myself to drive it when it gets really cold out : )
The original Wevo shifter knob is just so cold and unwelcoming.

Please let me know what I need to do to get your shift knob - I'm confident it will warm the feel of firing off and rolling out in the dead of winter.

No kidding - that's a good looking piece of kit, nice work... Let me know what you want for it and I will buy and happily post installed photos. Please PM me for price and shipping.

Thanks, Gordo
