1988 911 3.2. 170k miles…original cat is bad. Any suggestions for a well made direct fit cat that is certified for…California?

I installed this model in 2016 on my '87 (222K miles at the time) and it did an amazing job.
DEC Cats, CARB legal part # PO82605 Our host used to sell these, but I don't see it listed now. The website for DEC has this still listed as something they can build to order, FWIW.

big fan of M&K's active cat, they have a CARB version as well. definitely wakes up my targa's exhaust when I get "on" it. https://mkexhaust.com/active-exhaust-with-carb-catalytic-converter/ (but looks like it's not currently available)

I may still have a good, used one, actually. Slightly rattly but will get you through a smog check. |

Curoious about what leads you to that conclusion (especially since link specifies the cat IS carb-compliant? I also believe several forum members had these on CA-smogged cars. The bypass valve is downstream of the cat. Although not in CA, my NON-carb active cat has passed CO smog several times w/o issue
