Porsche Crest Another William Knight is a Superhero Thread...

Just thought I'd share my recent experience with a great PP member. I have purchased a few things from William Knight (username Knightrace) over the years and was always pleased with the pricing and quality of the parts. Earlier this year, a few PM's about a cup car LSD for sale turned into longer conversations with William about my in-progress engine rebuild and G50 conversion projects.

In fact, after a core G50 I had previously purchased turned out to have internal water damage making it prohibitively expensive to rebuild, William located a very reasonably priced and great condition replacement.

William also spent several hours on the phone with me and my mechanic, Charlie Martinek (A+ engine builder and 911 expert if you're in NC area), talking about my engine and upgrade options. Our original plan was just to rebuild my turbo'd 3.2 motor with larger P&C. After discovering crank journal damage, we decided to replace it with a GT3 crank and ended up with a wild 3.5L turbo motor. Parts pricing from William was absolutely fair, but his extensive advice and plug-and-play custom rods/gaskets for the new crank were priceless.

I've dealt with many great PP members over the years, but I really want to recognize William Knight for going above and beyond for me. It seems like he just loves building cool cars, and the business comes second. He's a great source of knowledge and ideas for our community and I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.

Happy holidays to all.

Great post. Thanks for sharing. What's the butt dyno saying this 3.5 turbo is turning out?

Look Forward to that. I had a great talk with George from Kingdom Racing Sunday, I feel the need to get more involved again. Kingdom Racing has been a passion of mine also. I have suffered so much loss the last three years it makes you realize the importance of the lord. I pray we all have peace and health and help one another. My name is now William Marshall, it was difficult to change from Knight and suffer the damaging effect. My blood is Marshall. I am finally proud of the person I am. This seems to have gotten off course slightly but I pray we can start to help each other more. I had a client the other day offer to give me money because I have had a lot of finical hits in past three years. It brought me so much happiness that there are good people like that out there.(I would only accept the money if I were in need) Thank you Mark. He wont see this I hope. I am truly thankful I have this platform to help others and learn what people want in there cars. I am in works developing some new engines. Really cool new products in the near future. Thanks everyone, William Marshall
