Tire Recommendation

I have a 69T which has 245/50-15 tires on the rear and 225/50-15 on the front. I want to purchase new tires but I am finding a very limited selection. So far all I found is Dunlop Sport 8000.

I want to use the car for Driver's Ed events, some track and some autocross. I would like a soft sticky tire.

I should add that the car has flares and I am not limited to size as it relates to the body. I really would like to stay with the rims I have, as I like the look. So here are my questions:

1. If I stay with the 15" rims can anyone recommend a good tire and size that will fit?
2. Should I shed the 15" rims and find something better?
3. If I stay 225/50-15 and 245/50-15 what tire would you recommend?

Thanks

Yep, that's it. I was in the same situation and went down to 205/55 F and 225/50 R. Plenty of choices in those sizes and they fit much better on 7s and 8s.

Try Kumho Victo racers V700. Good Tire and reasonably priced.
