has anyone tried the Rennline short shifter?

looking to get a short shifter...on a street car, ive always said I would use a factory short shift kit...but looking at the Rennline, i might reconsider. Combine this with a Seine Gate Shift for a nice factory upgrade? Looks like it replaces the ball on the bottom. Anyone install one of these yet?

Description from Rennline is quite brief. The link above has no image. Other link searches show a version that might fit a 914 or 901 lever (not compatible with a 915).

It might be equivalent to a Target short shifter, a version of the Weltemeister product, but using the factory lever.

I would suggest contacting Rennline for more details.

No it's not a shift knob.

Reduce the length of throws and give the shifter in your 911, 912 or 914 a more solid feel with Rennline's short throw shift kit. Machined from billet stock, this kit will reduce the throw of your shifts by approximately 30% and provide more precise engagement. Weighted to improve the speed and accuracy of your shifts with a minimal increase in effort, this shift kit provides benefits any driver will appreciate.

Curious......when I go on the Rennline web site and click on short shifter kit all that shows up is the shift knob.

Per my response in post #4. That product was designed for a 914, 912 or early 901 gearbox/shifter. If it's for your SC, you'll want a short shifter made for a 915 gearbox.

For the record, the Seine system is the best upgrade I've made to my 3.2 (915) period.

Considering the cost? Incomprable. Scott
