Co-mingling motor oil and gear lube

Background:
I have a setup I made that I call the "Oil IV". It's a bucket with a hose attached to the bottom. The other end of the hose has a fitting with a valve and a magnet that holds it in the oil filler. I put the appropriate amount of oil in the bucket, raise it above the level of the fill, turn on the valve and the oil runs in - kind of like an IV. Of course the hose is never 100% completely emptied of oil.

So far, I've only used it for engine oil. But, now I have the desire to use it for 80W90 gear lube (not in the 911).

Will it matter if small amounts of residual engine oil from the IV bucket get co-mingled with the gear lube?

Conversely, will it matter if small amounts of gear lube get co-mingled with engine oil next time I use the IV for an oil change ?

Any information is appreciated.

If you’re talking a few tablespoons I wouldn’t give it a thought.

If you were concerned why don't you just open your valve and spray some brake cleaner down the tube to flush it out? Takes like 2 mins to do and let it dry and then you don't have to worry about it.
