Does anyone in the TC area have a CIS injection pressure test kit that I could use(rent) or have you come to my garage and use with me?? I have a miss and have it narrowed down to ignition dist. or CIS inj. system............
Thanks, Luke

Sorry, I don't have the tester but your thread looked like it could use a bump.

I don't have a "CIS injection pressure test kit", in fact I don't even know what that is. The only fuel pressure gauge I have is the one I bought when checking the fuel delivery on my 951, and they're available at most hardware or auto parts stores (I think I got mine at Northern Tool). However, if I were chasing a "miss" on a CIS engine, I'd concentrate on the ignition. A "miss" due to poor fueling would mean a clogged injector or a really bad vac. leak at the "missing" cylinder's intake. Neither would show up during a conventional fuel pressure test. If it hasn't been done recently you could change the cap & rotor, test plug & coil wires, change points & condensor (if you have them), check the coil, check all connections to the coil, check all grounds, swap out the CD box (if you have one)?
Give a little more information (year of car, exact nature of problem and when it occurs, how long has it been missing, are there any modifications to the engine, were any repairs done just prior to the miss showing up?), maybe someone has a solution or trouble-shooting routine based on your description; might save you some time.
