1976 911S Targa Manufacture Date?

I have a request in with my local Porsche Center to get a manufacture date after my Certificate of Authenticity came back with a date of "Information Not Available". While I am waiting (with low expectations) I am trying to calculate it, does this sound feasible?

Production source info from Porsche 911 Red Book (Third Edition)
1976 Targas produced: 2175
Production period: Aug 1975 to July 1976 (12 months)

Production number of my car is 1433 (from VIN)

The math part:
2175 / 12 = 181.25 cars per month
1433 / 181.25 = 7.9 (month in production run)
7.9 would mean late February or early March of 1976

Do you not have the required DOT Compliance Sticker on the door jamb?

No, I have done a lot of restoration but it was repainted by one or more if the previous 5 owners…

The paint plate and VIN sticker are both missing.

Check out this thread. It helped me out as my door jamb sticker was missing:
Manufacture Date Determination

My vin ends in -0098 so I assumed a production date of 07/75 for my car when ordering the new sticker.

Interesting. Judging by your comment and the data from the 1975 model year in the link I posted, it looks like they amped up production in 1976. I didn't consider that. Looks like March may be your best bet.

Thanks for all the info!

I was able to find VIN sticker photographs on both sides of my sequential number so it looks like 03/76 is correct.
