Reliable Auto transport

I had asked for a quote to pick up a car in Greenwich CT and they said they can't pick it up because:

"Unfortunately this is not a traffic lane we are supporting"

Call F40 Motorsports and ask Wayne Carini who he uses.

I could swear I saw a couple of Reliable trucks at the last Greenwich Concours.

Reliable is a joke to deal with.

Horseless Carriage very frequently services in CT

Try PLYCAR transport...they have transported multiple Porsches from the west coast to east coast and inbetween for me and the service has always been superb. They are also contracted with Porsche Cars of North America (PCNA) to transport new vehicles. I've found nothing 'reliable' about Reliable...some folks swear by them, but they they are vague and non-committing with pick up timeframes.

I just used Certi5ed Trucking in Blauvelt (Across the Tapanzee Bridge) to haul a new truck from Charleston to Westchester,NY. $700 super communicative and dealt directly with the owner. He runs NY to Florida…mostly hauling for snow birds. PM if you want his number. Awesome service.

Do you think he will run from CT to ID?

Plycar was pretty expensive and I expect Intercity to be up there as well.
My usual guy, Angels who has shipped a number of my cars in the past is half of Plycar, but COVID has affected their business as well as doing alot of cars for Mecum and BJ this month. Also the weather is not helping.

What kind of (good) car shipper doesn't service Greenwich, CT? Those are some of the wealthiest residential zip codes in America.

Try Intercity. They transported my 930 from LA to Cape Cod, MA.

Plycar just picked up my F355 that was headed to NJ. He wanted to move a couple of cars around to make his stops easier. The driver was super careful and really took his time. I was impressed. I would recommend them for sure.

He had the 1965 Daytona 500 winning car in the rig and we chatted about it for a while, it was headed to an auction.

I think the issue is not picking the car up in CT, but dropping it off in ID. Check with them to see if they could drop it in Salt lake City or some other larger area close by. Then either use a local carrier or haul it the rest of the way yourself.
Good luck.

Certified agreed to go all the way. Thanks to Spool87 for the referral.
I agree a number of shippers don't like going to ID. because it's a car waste land.
Now we just have to wait until the roads are somewhat decent for the trip.
January is not exactly the best time of year for transporting vehicles.
I just hope the dealer won't charge me for holding the car.
