Hood latch mounting stud

Hey guys I am wondering if anyone has a good easy solution to my problem. One of the hood latch mounting studs is broken. Does anyone have a simple fix for this? I am hoping to not have to cut the hood to weld in a new stud then weld up the hole and refinish the hood. The outside of the hood is getting fresh paint but the inside is still great and does not need a repaint. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Jeff

How much room is there behind it?
If there's enough, you could carefully drill it out then install a nutsert into it. Then use a bolt into that. If you really wanted a stud, you could loctite a stud into the nutsert.

Just a thought. Good luck.

I was thinking of that also but since I am not with the car right now I don't know how much room there is. I will suggest that. I also sent him the video of what and how to do it. I suggested Rivet nuts. Thanks for the advise.

Any other ideas? I can't be the only one experiencing this issue.
