			Uh, Assuming you are talking about the early performance model I believe it was 74, or maybe 73.  Before that there was the 356 Carrera, and then there was what is commonly refered to as a Carrera which was the only NA model between '84 and 89.

			...Or, if you are referring to the Super Carrera (SC), then that would be 1978

			If you're talking about regular production 911s (ie ones that aren't special limited production like the '73 RS or other racing cars), the "Carrera" was introduced in '74. It was reintroduced in '84.

			Fall of 1955 for a 1956 model. Real Carreras have four cams   . I still like my fake 2 cam Carrera, though.
