				 | What is Behind the Rocker Skin Near Jack Plate?
It looks like I am going to have to cut away some perfectly good skin to get to what may be behind it requiring rust repair. I do not want to cut off any more than I have to to access the damage. But I cannot find any images of what the inner rocker looks like with all of its braces under the skin. I have some idea, there is some rust. And a lot of dirt, I started on the car without power washing it, too late now. I want to be sure I do not cut too deeply and damage good metal behind the skin making more work for myself. There is a little triangular looking brace that connects the bottom of the skin to the inner rocker, next to the jacking tube plate and the vertical reinforcement. Can anyone post a photo of what this area looks like, not rusted, and without the skin? In a side view? Is the vertical brace supposed to be open at the bottom? What does this area look like underneath the external sheet metal? The wife is at her mothers for the day so I took the day off work tomorrow to dive in here and get something done. Even a view without skin and a surface rusty but intact underneath bits will be most helpful. TIA!

Thanks guys. Those are some good photos. I think I figured it out. Looking at my first photo i think I see a spot weld & that extra angled piece (yellow dot) was welded to the exterior skin tying it to the inner rocker. The replacement pieces incorporate that tie-in into the rear of the exterior rocker panel (red dot). At least that is what I th9ink I am seeing. Or not...?

triplesn8s, DG Vintage Coach Works, did all the metal restoration. I believe it is a conductive coating for the welding of the panels. As they applied it to the rocker side as well before the spot welding was completed on them.

Thanks Rich, That is very helpful. Still looking for the brand name of the conductive paste. I want to try it out.

It looks like DG VINTAGE RESTORATIONS, LLC went out of business a couple of years ago. https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_wa/604081896

Danny told me it is weld thru primer, they spray it in a cap and then brush it on. Made by Wesco. Dave
