Rear brake line how the $&@*

Ok. I’m a newb and I’m sure there is an easy answer, but how on earth do you get enough grip on the inner nut of the outer rubber hose to metal line connection? It is recessed in the bracket and I can’t get ahold of the line with enough grip. I have pb blasted both sides of this connection and got the interior section swapped. What am I missing? Thanks in advance for all the help. I’ve attached a picture for reference. ‘85 3.2.
