What is this Bar Code? 1983 911SC
 

I have a Bar Code Sticker in the Rt door jamb. It is almost legible, but the number imprinted is not a VIN number. Could it be a “Car Type” for scanning during a emission test? I’ve had other cars scanned during the emissions test, those matched the VIN. Of course the numerals don’t necessarily match the Bar Code.

I tried to read it with my barcode reader and it said something about bananas from Ecuador.
