Rennline Cupholder, anyone got one?
Any reviews on this piece? $95 is nuts, but short of DIY the options seem to be limited.

Roll of black Gorilla tape works great for me! Cup just fits in the center. Mine’s in black but comes in lots of colors. 5 bucks, plus or minus.

I've got one in my 993. Works great. It's well made so I don't think it's overly expensive, and it's a damn sight nicer to look at than a roll of tape on the floor...

I bought one of the patina holders from a classified on this site. I was disappointed when it wouldn't securely hold a 20oz tumbler. The ebay listing above, shows that the tapered cup isnt touching the carpet which makes it top heavy and that's a bad thing during a spirited drive. To be secure it needs to bottom out.
My next door neighbor owns a metal fabrication shop. With his water jet, he figured he could get 100 pieces out of a 4x8 sheet of mill finish 3/8 stainless. That would work out to about $20 each. Mill finish is not the nice appliance look but it can be brushed, painted or even powder coated. Personally I thought some old school engine turning would look pretty cool. I wouldnt be in this to make money but is there enough interest to make a group buy to cover the 100 pieces? With mailing in N/A, Id guess $25 each. These would just be a P shaped piece of metal, no brackets. It would mount between the seat rail and the car floor. More costly than a roll of duct tape but less than whats out there. |

Sign me up - I have been waiting for a cheaper alternative, I even 3d printed one, but it warped a little when it was really hot outside.

the pelican foam ones are actually great if more than one person is in your car all the time. you cant see the bottoms that hide away.

Maybe Rennline can make an anodized billet duct tape roll?

Did not fit
I got two one for my 77 and one for
My 79. I was so disappointed that it did not fit. I hammered one into fitting and ended up cutting it up and repainting The support bracket after my hatch job. It should not be the case for a $100 cup holder. See pics ![]() ![]()

Here is a pic of the fixed leg fitment vs. the origina leg.
As you can see the original does not fit inside the track in order to align With the mount hole. ![]() ![]()

What I would love to see is someone make the door pockets with a molded in cupholder. There is plenty of space to do that since they do have those rubber ones that slide into the door.

I bought one. Doesn't fit. Waste of $99 plus tax. 1985 Targa without sport seats.
