Chin Spoiler Install Help

Has anyone seen step-by-step instructions for the installation of a chin spoiler for an SC? I bought one from Vertex on Ebay and need help with the install. Thanks

Did you buy the factory hardware kit? if not you should buy it and your job will be a lot easier. I haven't installed mine yet but I have instructions either in Wayne's book or my factory manuals I can't remember where I saw it. If no one else posts instructions, I'll dig it up tonite and post.

Thanks JMZ. I do have Waynes 101 manual and will check it tonight. A hardware kit came with it from Vertex. I don't know if it is the same as the factory kit. I thought I read on a search that the Vertex kit has fewer fasteners. Not confirmed though.

I replaced mine with a newer, cleaner spoiler...seems to me that you really dont need a kit and could probably get away with using big washers with some 10MM bolts. I think the only part that would be scary is drilling the holes on each end of the valence. I could see where that might be a problem.

The 101 Projects will tell you all you need. If you have a front condenser with the protector bar, removing that is the hardest part.

I didn't use the mounting kit, I just used my own bolts and washers. The fit is like a glove. A hoist makes life easier when installing the chin. The first chin I fitted, I did with jackstands, lying on my back. Picked metal filings out of my eyes for while afterwards, too...

I took off the bumber and fog lights to get extra room. Start from outside and work in.
