Another potential air leak location
Just one more place to look for hidden air leaks/idle issues. Discovered this little gem while changing out a blown airbox. Its the rear side of the throttle bypass screw (idle adjuster) on the rear of the throttle body.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I honestly dont know how this happened. It has never been dropped or damaged in any way that i know of. The worst part of it is that you’d never see it unless you were specifically looking for that crack. Its buried in the back of the throttle body behind the brass vacuum tube for the brake booster. The only reason i found it was i was cleaning the TB and the rag kept snagging on the crack. I’m going to JB Weld it, hopefully that will fix it. Any comments/suggestions welcome |

No *****, thank you for posting and the pictures..one more spot for me to check. And one more for you, Put a little AT-203 on the injector O rings that are old and installed, wait an hour and drive until warmed up, if your idle slows down the O rings are leaking.
