Anybody ever take the clock apart?
My clock doesn't work. I have a different one but all my gauges have red faces to mach the car. I need to take the red face out of the bad one and install in the new one. Can this be done? Any help?

There are two articles on getting a clock running again.
http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/mult_vdo_clock_repair/mult_vdo_clock_repair.htm and http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/mult_vdo_clock_repair/mult_vdo_clock_repair2.htm Have repaired mine though didn't want to go through the solder hassle. Found a thermal fuse made by NTE Electronics (800) 631-1250, part NTE8118, that can be used to replace the fusible solder link. If I ever get some free time I'm planning to write it up. Jim
