What Am I Missing? #1

On my new project car (First G Model for me), I found a bracket the may support the air intake hose from shroud to heater fan. I couldn’t find a bracket or clamp that attaches to the one in my photo. Any ideas?

i think it is there as a left over from 1978-80 engine .There would be a clap wit a screw to hold the fuel line to 2+3 cylinders
Ivan
yours is 1983 so it has the metallic lines..

Hey proporsche, thanks for that. I may hack it off to clean it up and save the skin on the backside of my hands and forearms.
