Confused about trailer tie down

I have an '85 that I'm planning on hauling on a car flatbed to a show out of state. I have searched past threads about where to place the tie down straps, but the more I read, the more confused I get. My car has two tow rings in the front (right in front of the torsion bars) and two tow rings in the back (one on each side of the muffler). Can I just attach the tie down straps to these and secure to the D rings on the trailer? The past threads kept talking about going thought the Fuchs or around the A arms, but it seems these tow rings are made for that very purpose. Am I wrong? Please shed some light.
Thanks in advance

prolonged use of the tow hooks can cause problems with it stressing out the surrounding metel (from what i remember reading), i use factory hooks for added security but not the main load. IMO of course

I am reseaarching this very same topic. It seems the less direct tying to the body is best. This allows the body to ride on its suspension. I have looked at over the tire systems like the tow dolly uses. Some +'s and some -'s there. Tying to the a-arms is possibility, but there will be stress on any part you tie to. Tying to the rear axles is not good. The favorite spots seem to be thru the wheels with pressure down on the hubs or on special lug nuts with an eye built in. As I heard someone say recently, "There are as many ways to tie down a race car as there are race cars."

The best way is to use the combo hook/lugnut. Use short tie downs.

Excellence has ads for vendors....I am not sure that PP has them, but they probably can get them....

Use padded axle straps through the wheels and then strap either forward or aft to D-rings on the trailer. You can use web bonnets over the wheels to if the trailer has an E-track. All this is for a perfect world.
Many use tow hooks and assorted parts of the suspension.
Be certain to put trans in neutral.
