LED Turn Signals Stay on with lights
I installed LED bulbs in all the gauges on my 79 SC. Likely installation error but the turn indicator bulbs stay lit when the parking or headlights are on. They blink correctly when the turn signal is used. Any ideas?

Did you install the correct turn signal blinker box for LED lights? Did you install the correct blinker indicator bulbs in the gauge? There are 2 types of LED lights that will fit but depending on year only 1 type may work correctly. Check out the carmagic.us website for some good info.

Hopefully they are still able to be dimmed. You don't want bright lights inside your car, it'll cause your pupils to adjust and you won't be able to see down the road nearly as far.
Think about walking into a dark room after being outside. You can't see until your eyes adjust. If you have bright dash lights, your eyes will never adjust.

Good comments. I used the bulbs from Carmajic. I bought the blinker relay from them as well. I replaced all the exterior side marker and turn signal lights with their LED's as well. The turn signals all operate the way they should. I just have the issue with the indicator lights in the tach being lit when I turn on either the parking lights or headlights. The bulbs include a little harness to plug the new turn signal bulbs into. Just wondering if I have it plugged in wrong.
I have driven in the dark with the brighter bulbs and it's not so bright that it causes me any problems between interior and exterior lighting. |

Just heard back from Engelbert at Carmajic. He said it could be a bad ground to the front turn signal/parking light. He suggested pulling out 1 or both bulbs and see if the problem is still there. If so I need to track down a ground problem. I have to say that Englebert has been great with support after the sale.
Thanks all |

I have had the EXACT same issue with mine. Basically everything works fine with stock bulbs in the indicators but as soon as I put in the CarMagic LEDs and turn on the running lights the turn signals outside the car light up full and the indicators inside the car stay turned on. I have half solved this by buying some different LED bulbs for the front indicators which have solved this issue but now, when running lights are off, my side markers flash as well as the front indicators when I am indicating. When running lights are on the integrated turn signals in my Rennline headlight no longer work properly and just turn on full. @911SC Boy - did you manage to get your issue resolved? What was the fix for you?
