930 turn indicators stop after about 10 clicks
Issue just started today. When I leave the turn signal on, it stops (turns off) after about 10 clicks, give or take. If I return the turn signal bar to neutral and return it to left or right, it'll start up again, usually about 10 times (anywhere from 4-16 really). This happens both for left and for right.
Checked the forum but didn't see any posts specific to this issue. Is there a shared relay that's wearing out? Any pointers are appreciated. '88 911 carrera. Thanks! |
Have you looked at the Porsche Turn Signal/ Hazard Flasher Relay (4 pin)?
I haven't seen this particular failure mode, but... |
I haven't, but that'll be my first thing checked. Oddly enough, it wasn't having the issue today, so it's something intermittent. Maybe that relay is about to fully fail.

Have a look at a wiring diagram to get the wires colors and follow them to a flasher/blinker thing in the trunk area behind speedo etc. My SC one died and I just replaced it with a generic one that woks fine.

I had a similar issue years ago. If memory serves me, it was a bad ground.

Here is a post I did on the turn signal relay in my SC.
