Gotta Give Kudos When Due

I'm not the type to flower anyone with praise, but in this instance, I'll make an exception. I bought a new Blaupunkt Calgary to install in my '85 Targa. I wanted to avoid cutting the factory wiring, and someone referred me to www.swstereo.com.

I spoke with Stefan at Southwest Stereo, who sold me a custom harness designed to plug directly into the new Calgary, and then into the factory harness. Well, I pulled the original Monterey out this evening, went to plug in the harness, and wasn't sure of the connections because the wiring colors didn't match. So at 6:30pm, I called Stefan, figuring it would be a longshot getting hold of him. When I start something, I want to finish it!

To my amazement, someone answered, and took a message, saying Stefan would call back in 10 minutes. Sure enough, I got the phone call while I was sitting in the car, and Stefan walked me through the wiring. Two minutes later, the harness was connected, and the new head unit working flawlessly!!!!

In our "service" economy, I've found service in general to be hit or miss. If everyone provided the same service as Stefan, the buying experience would be changed forever. As such, I'd like to personally thank Stefan from Southwest Stereo for his service, and I would highly recommend him if you're interested in car audio, or one of his custom harnesses. It made the installation a snap!
