Porsche Crest Swap strut assys?

I have an 80SC, Koni struts and am thinking of putting 77S Boge struts on the car because they have new Koni sport shocks inside and all new brakes. Is there any reason why I would not want to do this swap????

John if you go that route how much for your koni struts? Are they 3.5" spacing?

If I can clear through my spousal unit (have been way to free wheeling lately), how's 350, with you taking care of shipping....SC struts should take the 3.5" S calipers correct?

If 3.5, you don't need calipers?

I don't think so, I've got S calipers that should, in theory bolt right on, does that lower the cost??

Just out of curiousity, why not just drop in the koni shocks and new brakes and keep the struts?

Koni struts are not the same size as boge, they look larger dia. The book lists different shocks for different struts. it is no problem for me to do the swap, I would then throw on new ball joints and turbo ends and have new front!
