Where to add an oil temp sensor?

I've got a temp sensor that looks like this:

I need to chuck it in my '81 SC's 3.0L engine somewhere. Ideally, somewhere submerged in hot oil. The factory oil temp sender location won't work as the plug juts out too far (would hit the engine brace/cradle/support/crossbar/whatever) and there's a good likelihood that the actual heat sensing element is a fraction of the length of the new sender. There's a billion ports in this engine, but only three of them look to be useful for a temp sensor - the factory location (duh), the pressure sender next to the factory location, and (maybe) the pressure switch in the triangle of death. Is there another location somewhere on the case that has a deep enough galley to fit this sender in? If not, could I stick it in an oil line somewhere, and does anyone make an adaptor appropriate to said oil line size?

Do you happen to know the depth of the hole where the existing pressure switch is? The adaptor will take up some slack, but there's still gonna be a decent length of rod there.

I am always looking for Fuel & Oil adapter fittings.

I have a pretty good assortment, but do not have this one.

Will watch for this one to stock as well.
