Searching for welch plugs for (Zenith) carbs

I had to remove six of these welch plugs (don't ask why) on my Zenith TIN 40s.

Does anyone know where new ones can be obtained?

Einar

Those are lead plugs, which were spherical. I used to cast my own using a mold I made but have since found that 0.177 caliber air rifle lead pellets work well. Drive the pellet into the opening with a small ball peen hammer then use a punch with its end re-shaped to be spherical to punch the lead home and trim off the excess lead.

Lead shot for shotguns is NLA in an appropriate size due to environmental effects of lead falling onto fields.

Thank you for the reply (forgot all about the thread, but from now I subscribe). It could be hard finding a led bullet, but I'll try. Until then, is it strictly necessary to seal off the holes? They will be shut by the gasket between the carb and intake manifold anyway.

Garage
many years ago I used the split round lead weights used for fishing. I stopped fishing ages ago (and working on carbs) so they maybe NLA like the shotgun pellets mentioned above.

A colleague at work has some vintage airgun ammo at home, so I'll be all right, thank you.
