Headliner 911SC Clean/Paint?

Hello all..

Just bought a 79 911SC OG same family since new, headliner is a tad discolored from the Factory Glue more than anything, is there is recent post/suggestion on best was to clean and and paint. My mechanic says LVP cleaner and paint is his go to?

Any advise appreciated.
