Pirelli P700o Supersport

It's time to replace the tires on my 86 carrera. I was going to look at the pirelli P7000 tire. This car is driven about once per week to work and then on the weekends. I'm not interested in racing the car, so I am looking for a decent street tire.

Any suggestions?

Pirelli P7000s do not get very good reviews with Tire Rack and some other forums for high performance tires. I looked at getting some about 4 weeks ago because Pirelli is running a special to their dealers on them.

I just put on Bridgestone So3's that I purchases from tire rack and I love them! Smoother and quieter ride than the Pirelli P700's that I had on. I pu maybe 3-4000 summer miles on my car too.

I had P7000's on my car up front and didn't like them. I think one of them had a broken belt to boot. I replaced them with Yokohama ES100's. So far I am pleased with the Yoko's. For what it's worth, a high school friend of mine who owns a tire and front end allignment shop also doesn't like the Pirelli line. He has seen multiple broken belts.

I'm running Goodyear Eagle F1's on '86 - I like'em alot. They get great traction as well.

I recently went with Yoko ES100's from the tire rack. They seems to be 90% of the SO-3's at half the price. I'm VERY happy with the tires that I got considering how little that I paid for them.

Had a set of p7000's and hated them. I switched to Toyo. Totally changed the way the car handles. Love em!
