Should I change my socks?

I can't seem to corner as well running down the hallway as I used to and there's kind of a nasty funk when I take my Pilotis off. Has anyone had experience with this? :p

I think you need new shoes, not shocks

juanbenae 05-22-2003 01:47 PM

get those ones with the induvidual toe slots, they grip way better even on my wood floors...

You have to be careful, Some socks loose thier grip after just 10 or so heat cycles, and be sure get them with a low wear rating.

Start walking everywhere barefoot, in a few months, your feet will be nicely callous and should feel like all weather treads! Good for running through game preserves! :D

Funny stuff...

spinner 05-22-2003 03:28 PM

Once your feet is nicely calloused, you can cut in a custom tread for that extra grip..

MotoSook 05-22-2003 03:30 PM

Shave the treads! :D

Black socks. They never get dirty, the longer you wear them, the stronger they get :)

What's the largest size socks I can fit on my feet without having to roll my pants hem?

Anybody try R-spec socks, and if so how well do they last if you spend time in the garage without shoes?
Also, what do you say to the wife when she gets irate about the fact that you running around in socks but no shoes?
Can I wear R-spec DOT approved socks to and from the track, or should I trailer my feet?
Sorry about all the questions, I'm a sock newbie :)

Mine are kind of noisy. . .I think a different thread pattern might help.
But I don't want to aqua-plane either. . . all that "water-walking" stuff is spooky. http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/eek3.gif

My Frozen Socks™ were cryogenically treated. Six months and still going strong!

trj911 05-23-2003 04:55 AM

Have you tried run-flat footies?

expat 05-23-2003 05:01 AM

Is that Sport or HD Haines your running there?

Have you done the corner balance after fitting them?

Maybe you should try stiffening up that 'rod' of yours a bit. I hear cross bracing or triangulating does wonders, and its so simple just tighten the nuts or loosen them off as you desire.

Huh...what...ohhhh socks.....
